Digs for Workers

Privacy notice

Digs for Workers is run by Brunel Strategic Resourcing Group Ltd (BSR Group). This notice explains what information we hold through this website and why.

Landlords

When you create an account we hold your email address and a securely stored password. When you list a room we hold the details you enter: the room description, price, availability, photos, the area it's in and the contact name, phone number and email you choose to show.

The contact details, room details and photos you add to a listing are shown publicly on this website so workers can contact you. Your full postcode isn't stored or shown. We store an approximate map position and the first half of the postcode only.

We use this information to run the website and, occasionally, to contact you about your listing. We rely on your consent, which you give when you create your account. You can edit or delete your listings, or delete your whole account, at any time from your landlord page. Deleting your account removes your listings, photos and details.

Workers and visitors

You don't need an account to browse. If you report a listing, we store the reason and any details you add, but not who you are. If you email us, we use your email only to reply.

Who else handles the data

The website's database and photos are hosted by Supabase. Maps come from OpenStreetMap and postcode lookups from postcodes.io. When you contact a landlord, you deal with them directly; we don't see those conversations.

Your rights and contact

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing sam@bsr.group. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
